I started playing xenogears again after downloading it on the ps3 awhile ago. It’s amazing how much I just didn’t understand when I played it the first time on the ps1 - both gameplay and story-wise. What do you mean I can string together like 6 deathblows what are you crazy????
I wanted to try drawing all the characters-with-portraits I’ve run into but it’s 2am so I’ll stop here for now. I think its kinda obvious at what point I was getting lazy haha.

So honestly, not seriously amazed by the first 11 or so eps of this show. Like there are some cool things definitely, but sometimes it’s so unbearably shounen/this dialogue is for dummies I have to roll my eyes - also can’t say I’m particularly fond of any characters - everyone seems pretty cookie cutter stereotype to me besides Mikasa. Maybe some dramatic flashbacks will change that for me.
I don’t have any clue where it’s going though, and I don’t plan on reading the manga, so maybe I’ll be delightfully surprised.
