Chaos Family Portrait
The Chaos used to be spread across the Three Realms in great numbers, but they have been dwindling due to the efforts of Heaven and Hell, as well as their own strange biology.
There can only be one Mother Chaos at a time, and despite her prolific birth rate, she can only give birth to one fertile child. This Fertile Chaos must become a new Mother Chaos, created when the Mother Chaos injects the liquid that pours constantly from her fingers into them over the course of their childhood.
The Mother Chaos will have these features regardless of its original form: It will have black hair and red eyes, and its fingers drip and steam constantly a liquid from beyond The Wall. It will be able to create offspring without a mate.
Chaos Children are linked to their Mother with hate and love. They care for it instinctually, but they are chained to its whims forever.
In Misadventures, the current Chaos was born the first male Fertile Chaos in many centuries. He was unusually self-aware, and exceeded his brothers and sisters in the common Chaos attributes (killing and magic and other such demonic things). He became extremely bitter with his destiny, and eventually killed The Mother Chaos.
Younger Chaos children are unable to survive without the Mother, and they died immediately. Some lingered on, but only a few Chaos children survived.
In the story, there are three besides Chaos:
- Sister Chaos, now known as Hazard. She has created her own little Mother fantasy, in which she steals the souls of living beings across all the Realms, erase their memories, and use them as she sees fit. Haze is one of those victims. Others include: Gar, Gak and Muyo.
- Older Brother Chaos (status Unknown, current alias Unknown)
- Younger Brother Chaos (status Unknown, current alias Unknown)
The need for a Mother Chaos is so deep-seated, however, that Chaos decided to figure out a way to create another, and possibly many more. With multiple Mother Chaos in the Realms, it would be a matter of time before Chaos would be widespread once again.
